Product Quality & Durability

Will this shirt hold up in the shop, or is it just for wearing out?

Our gear is designed by a welder who wears it in the booth. While these are lifestyle apparel (not FR-rated PPE), they’re built with heavy cotton and quality construction that can handle the shop environment when you’re not actively welding. Think of them as what you wear before you throw on your leathers, or what you rock after work to rep the trade. They’re durable enough for daily shop life, but always wear proper PPE when striking an arc.

Will the print crack, fade, or peel after a few washes?

Absolutely not. We use high-quality printing methods designed to last. These aren’t cheap heat transfers that peel off after three washes. Wash them inside-out in cold water and tumble dry low, and your Arc Life gear will stay sharp for years. We stand behind every piece with our 30-Day Arc-Tight Guarantee, and if you have any issues with print quality, we’ll replace it.

Are these actual cotton, or that synthetic blend stuff that melts?

Our tees are 100% heavy cotton (some performance tees use moisture-wicking blends, which we specify). We know welders avoid synthetics in the shop because they melt—so do we. You’ll never find cheap polyester blends marketed as “shop-safe” here. When we use performance fabrics, it’s clearly labeled, and those are meant for wearing outside the booth.

Sizing & Fit

What’s your sizing like? Do these run small, big, or true to size?

Our tees and hoodies run true to standard U.S. sizing. If you normally wear a Large, order a Large. We use unisex cuts, so they’re not slim-fit—they’re built for comfort and movement like you need in the shop. For the trucker caps, they’re adjustable snapbacks that fit most head sizes. If you’re between sizes or prefer a looser fit, size up. We’re working on adding detailed size charts to every product page soon.

Can I buy this as a gift without knowing their exact size?

Great question! If you’re buying for another welder and aren’t sure about sizing, we recommend going with accessories like our trucker caps (adjustable), stickers, or the 20oz jumbo mug—those are one-size-fits-all and still rep the Arc Life. If you want to go with apparel, most welders prefer a relaxed fit, so when in doubt, size up. And remember, our 30-Day Arc-Tight Guarantee covers gifts too—they can exchange if needed.

Is this stuff made in the USA, or overseas?

Our products are printed and shipped from the U.S., supporting American businesses. The blanks (base shirts, hats, etc.) come from trusted suppliers who meet quality standards—some domestic, some imported—but all printing, fulfillment, and customer service happens right here. We prioritize quality and ethical production, and we’re transparent about where everything comes from.

Do you have a physical store, or is this online-only?

We’re online-only right now, which keeps our costs down and lets us offer better prices and faster shipping. Everything is designed and managed by me (Adam), and I’m focused on building this brand from the ground up.
