Before you start: assign stable Item IDs, enter physical counts and consistent units, then set your own minimum quantities, reorder points, costs and usage window. Keep those records current. Suggested reorder quantity does not subtract open orders; review the Orders log before purchasing.

Important operating note

Usage and receipt entries do not automatically change Current Qty. The usage window includes today and excludes future-dated entries. The physical count in Master Inventory remains authoritative. The workbook does not connect to suppliers, create purchase orders, or place orders. Always verify quantity, unit, price, supplier, and purchasing decisions before acting.

What software do I need?
Microsoft Excel 2019 or later is recommended. Other spreadsheet applications may change formulas, charts, validation, or print settings.

Does it use macros?
No. The workbook uses standard formulas and workbook features.

Does recording usage automatically reduce inventory?
No. Usage records inform the burn-rate forecast. Current Qty is updated from a physical count so an incomplete usage log cannot silently corrupt on-hand inventory.

Does it automatically order from suppliers?
No. It prepares a suggested reorder list and estimated cost for review.

Is this a physical product?
No. This is a digital download. Nothing will be shipped.

Can I share it across my company?
The included license allows personal use or internal use by one business entity. It does not allow resale, redistribution, client delivery, or use in a competing template product.
